Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Food Service Director to oversee the dietary operations of our small, patient-focused healthcare facility, which includes 18 long-term care beds and 8 acute care beds. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) with a strong background in regulatory compliance and food service management in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all aspects of the food and nutrition services department, including staff scheduling, purchasing, food production, and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with CMS and DNV regulations and standards.
• Develop and maintain department policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory and facility standards.
• Coordinate with nursing, medical, and administrative staff to support the nutritional needs of patients and residents.
• Oversee menu planning, nutritional assessments, and dietary modifications.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and quality assurance.
• Train, evaluate, and mentor dietary staff to support professional growth and operational excellence.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare food service management role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS and DNV accreditation standards.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Ability to manage a small team and work in a hands-on environment.
