Yes, depending on the state you will be working in. Most states require registered dietitians to have also state licensure in order to practice MNT. These licenses may be referred to by different acronyms but generally mean the same thing. Some examples include LPN, LDN, CD, or CDN. The federal government allows travel workers to be paid a maximum daily per diem (also called a stipend) for all travel expenses. The great thing is this per diem stipend is non-taxable. Translation: more tax free dollars in your pocket!

Yes! Depending on the contract assignment, you will be paid an hourly wage + a non-taxable travel stipend. Add these two together and that is your total compensation.

It’s up to you! We don’t secure temporary housing for travel assignments. You can live with a friend or family member if they are local, extended stay hotel chains, or an AirBnB of your choosing. This way you have greater control of where you live and how much you want to spend on temporary housing.

It would be virtually impossible for us to do so given the thousands of facilities and systems around the country. However, you should expect to receive a basic on-site orientation for your assignment along with support from your on-site facility supervisor.
