Job Title: Registered Dietitian – Inpatient Clinical

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our clinical nutrition team at our 450-bed hospital. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for hospitalized patients
- Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting plans as needed
- Provide medical nutrition therapy for a variety of patient populations, including critical care, surgical, cardiac, renal, and oncology
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers
- Document all patient interactions in the electronic medical record (EMR) in a timely and accurate manner
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide nutrition education to patients, families, and staff as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards of practice
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Current Registered Dietitian credential (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York
- Inpatient clinical experience preferred, but new graduates with strong internship experience are welcome and encouraged to apply
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Commitment to patient-centered care
